Engineering habits
Design for the failure, not the demo
A camera goes dark, an API times out, a plate is covered in mud. The interesting engineering is what the system does then — not what it does on a clear day.
Hand it over cleanly
If a system needs me in the room to keep running, it is not finished. Admin panels, README files and honest logs are part of the deliverable.
